About Kumawood Films Foundation
Kumawood Films Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the legacy and future of Kumawood—Ghana’s vibrant local film industry rooted in culture, language, and community.
We exist to honor and support the veteran actors, filmmakers, and creatives who built Kumawood from the ground up. Their contributions laid the foundation for a uniquely Ghanaian storytelling tradition that has entertained, educated, and inspired millions.
Our mission is twofold: to provide support and recognition to these pioneers, and to uplift the next generation of talents through training, mentorship, and resources. By bridging the past and the future, we strive to keep Kumawood alive, thriving, and evolving for years to come.
